Roofing: What is Fascia?
Fascia goes hand-in-hand with your home’s soffit. Fascia is the area of siding right above the soffit. It’s the exhibited board you see on the front of your roof’s overlap.
Your fascia is also where gutters are installed. Fascia is noticeable and needs to be in good condition, so your home’s curb appeal isn’t in jeopardy.
Fascia can be made of wood, vinyl, or aluminum just like soffit and the best choice is vinyl.
Fascia Is Made of the Long Straight Board
Fascia is made of the long straight board along the inferior edge of the roof so it can be so important for starters, it’s the last line of support for the lower side of the base of roof shingles or tiles.
Plus, it’s what your gutters are placed on. Channels are critical, and your fascia needs to be able to hold them up even during a torrential downpour.
Fascia is also essential due to it is visible to everyone. If you want to improve your home’s curb appeal, your fascia needs to look great as well.
